King/Queen[]

The King or Queen has the highest power in Patriam. He or she can stop a law when he or she want.

The King or Queen is not chosen by the citizens, but is member of the Anders family.

President[]

The President has after the King or Queen the highest power in Patriam. He/She isn't a member of the Patriam Congress, but can vote in voting of the Patriam Congress.

The President is chosen in the Presidential elections. People can choose one of the eight candidates from eight different parties.

Patriam Congress[]

The Patriam Congress votes for laws in Patriam. It consits out 100 members who are chosen with the Congress elections.

States[]

Under the Patriam Congress stands all the 15 states. They all have a own government which consists of a various number of members which is different in each state. The state governments can introduce other laws than other states. The members of the state governments are chosen with the State elections. State governments are led by Governors.

Counties[]

The counties in Patriam have also their own governments. In some states counties can have unique means of transport or even laws. The county governments decides also about permits in the county.

The members of the county governments are chosen with the County elections.

Settlements with 20,000 or more inhabitants also have special leaders called Mayors.

Municipalities[]

All counties in Patriam are divided in a number of municipalities.

Parties[]

There are eight recognised political parties in Patriam's Congress:

  1. Green Patriam (environmentalist)
  2. Social Democratic Party (centre-left, socialist)
  3. Liberal Party (centre-right, liberalist, mod-conservative)
  4. Patriam Christian Party (right, religious)
  5. Native Party (centrist, focused on native peoples' rights)
  6. Republican Party (centre-left, wants the monarchy abolished)
  7. Future Movement (centrist)
  8. Working Families Party (centrist, supports family/labour values)
